Door phone

Another exciting feature that can be implemented in an intelligent home is an intelligent door phone. When a guest presses a button on a door phone a bell goes off (when somebody is home) or a VoIP call is initiated (when everybody are away). It should be possible to control a door bell using:
- mobile device
- wall switch or controller
- web interface
- TV set
It would be great to be able to see the picture from an external camera on some of those devices.
Potential issues:
- PBX configuration
- choose a product for an external door phone (analog line, IP based?)
- how to integrate it with a door latch?
- video streaming to a mobile phone
