Mobotix cameras for smart home security systems

Some time ago I discovered a company called Mobotix which offers exceptional IP cameras for video monitoring and surveillance systems. Products which brought my attention included Allround M24, Hemispheric Q24 and IP Video Door Station T24.
Main features which make them unique:
- a hemispheric lens capturing at a very wide angle
- audio-video stream (up to 3 megapixel) is recorded on an internal SD card and/or external disk storage (without additional software)
- current view and the recordings can be easily watched via a web browser
- ability to pan, tilt and zoom the view while playing a record – the camera software transforms hemispheric images and corrects distortions
- it is possible to watch four images at different angles simultaneously
- continues or event controlled recording
- motion detection with configurable events including email, SMS, phone call
- integrated microphone and speaker
- supports VoIP, SIP with two-way audio
- can be powered with PoE
- no software required for a client PC, just a web-browser
The only thing which keeps me from buying several Mobotix cameras is the price. However considering features and savings which they could bring comparing to traditional video monitoring systems I think they are worth the price.
